Personalized Perfection

So on occassion I'll drop a hint or send an email to John giving him gift ideas for upcoming holidays.  There's nothing wrong with pointing him in the right direction, right?  I've wanted a necklace of some sort with the boys names or initials for a while, but didn't know what kind.  He really blew me away when I opened up the necklace below on Christmas morning.  It literally made me tear up b/c it was a surprise and it was perfect!  Turns out he asked his cousin for help and she picked it out, but who cares!!  I love it!  I love that it's two toned because my wedding ring set is gold, but I still wear silver jewelry sometimes.  I love that they're different.  Like I said...tears!

I saw this necklace on Pinterest and fell in love!  If you're from the South, monogramming is in your blood!  John has been working in Charleston for the past 7 weeks so we waited to celebrate Valentine's Day on the following w/end.  Take a look at what he gave me!  LOVE!

"Mama, I'm a Whole Hand!"

Wade's 5th birthday was on January 30th.  Yes, my baby will start kindergarten in the fall!  (WHAAAA!!!)  His only requests were to have his party at Ulimate California Pizza Gamezone and a fire breathing dragon birthday cake.  OK, pizza and dragons it is!
Party Invite
Sir Wade's Royal Celebration

My very talented friend, Dawn Grey, made the helmet with visor and chain mail armor for Wade.  She is so awesome and Wade loved looking like a real knight!

My mom made all of the party guests these amazing shields!!! She worked hard on them and it definitely paid off. The kids loved having their own sword and shield to joust around with!

My VERY Big Boy
Logan & Reed loved bowling with Pappy

The cake turned out great!  Wade loved it!

Chick-Fil-A Party

Wade's actual birthday was on a Monday night.  We invited our immediate family to celebrate at Wade's 2nd favorite place to eat/play...Chick-Fil-A!  Turning 5 is a big milestone in a kids life.  Wade summed it up well when he looked at me with big eyes and said, "Mama, I'm a whole hand!!"  Yes, baby, you sure are.

Happy Valentine's Day!

My Sweethearts (L,R,W)
Just because there aren't any girls in our home doesn't mean we can't bring a little pink in now and then.  Truth be told, Logan and Reed both wanted the pink.  It might be a good thing their dad is working out of town!
Heart Tarts
Breakfast of champions, I know, but some mornings the boys can go through 2 Pop-Tarts each!!  They're milk/egg free, easy, quick and not too messy.  What's not to love?  I used my heart cookie cutter on V-Day.  The boys could have cared less, but I thought they were cute.

I Dig You!
I was afraid every parent at school would do this, but thankfully no one else did.  One of Wade's classmates brought in a red and white popcorn container (I've seen them at the Dollar Tree) and a bag of popcorn inside with a note that read, "My Heart Pops for You!"  I thought that was really cute too.
