Time Marches On

Logan and Reed will be 15 months in a couple of weeks. Time is moving right along and yes, my Steel Magnolia friends, I do feel like it is marchin' across my face at times!! L&R are learning to say more words, well animal sounds mostly, everyday. They can be quite a hand full when they want to be. Coming in from work, I can forget about hitting the bathroom before saying hi. I have to sit in the floor so one can crawl up on one leg and one on the other. Reed gets jealous quicker than Logan and is normally the one to try things first. Their eczema is getting better. I think we have it as much under control as we can right now. Still no milk or eggs. I'm becoming a professional label reader! On a brighter note, they absolutely love their big brother. You can see it when they look at him. They think he is so much fun! I have to say, honestly, Wade loves them as much. He goes straight to them when he comes in from school and gives them kisses. If he needs some alone time, he'll go play in his room with the door shut for a few minutes and come out ready for round 2. They all love playing outside, even in this horribly hot summer.

We added a new addition to the family a little over a week ago. No, not a new pet, but an RV!! It's the pull behind kind and we love, love, love it! Well, Wade and I do, John is slowly catching up. A lot of our friends and family own campers and we all get together and plans big w/end trips. This upcoming w/end, we're going to White Lake, NC. It really is so much fun. You know, good, quality family time without outside interruptions which is not always easy to come by. I haven't taken any pics of it yet, but you can click here to see it.

Well, that's about it for now. John is gearing up for hunting season. Can you hear the excitement in my voice? On the bright side, I think, one day all four boys will be going hunting and I will have FREE TIME! =)

ONE YEAR OLD!

Can you believe it? My babies will be one tomorrow! I just got all three boys out of the tub, lotioned down and dressed for bed. Logan and Reed are in the bed and Wade is sitting here watching Wonder Pets. As soon as it goes off, it will be his turn to hit the hay, but not before we read him a book, or two, and scratch his back. It's a nightly routine that's exhausting, but so worth it.

We had our first camping experience over the weekend. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I think the babies would get more use to it, and us too, but the first night was a little stressful. We took all three to the beach on Saturday and they all loved it! It was Logan and Reed's first time. I couldn't keep Logan from shoveling sand in his mouth. Thankfully, Reed was content playing with his toys. Wade was wide open all day and slept like a rock. He's counting down the days until we can go back.

The boys birthday party is this Saturday. We're having a Fiesta in honor of the day they were born, Cinco de Mayo! Reed will take up to 10 steps at a time now and Logan isn't too far behind. I continue to battle their eczema each day. Some days it seems worse than others. I'm afraid the boys are going to have some food allergies as well. They've been on soy formula since switching them from breastmilk. The few times I've tried foods with cows milk, they've had a bad reaction. As if that wasn't bad enough, they had a horrible reaction to eggs this w/end. I plan on talking to their doctor about it when they go for their one yr check-up and go from there. I'll post pics of the party as soon as I can.

This was towards the end of March. I now know why those bucket swings have four leg holes!!

The Perfect Snow

The snow on Feb 13 was beautiful! It was the perfect snow! We got around 5 inches. It stuck together well and came and went all in the same day. Wade LOVED it! What kid doesn't? He would cry when it was time to come in and take a break. Here are some pics from our snow day!

This is as close as the twins got to the snow. They had colds/ear infections so we kept them in.

Look at that arm on Wade!

Wade's snow angel!

Our picture was in the Horry Independent with our snowman!

John clearly had as much fun as Wade did!

9 Months

Logan and Reed turned 9 months on 2/5. They are so much fun and are all over the place these days! They keep us busy, that's for sure. Both are fast crawlers and can walk behind one of those push toys. They're always under foot no matter where we are. We're constantly picking them up and moving them back to the living room. Reed has three teeth on the bottom and Logan has two. You can see their top teeth working their way down. They love watching Wade and think everything he does is funny. That could be good and bad! They could care less about their toys and only want to play with Wade's. I take them to the doctor on the 11th for their 9mo check-up and will post their stats then.

This video gives you an idea of what lies ahead.

I just returned from the drs office. Logan has an ear infection in one ear, but Reed's ears are clear. We've been battling with ear infections for nearly 2 months now! I'm taking all three boys to JCPenny on Monday to get their pics made; Wade's 3 yr pics and the twins 9 month. Wish me luck! Here are their 9mo stats:

Logan
17lbs 10.5oz - weight - 10th %
29in - length - 78th %
18in - head - 60th %

Reed
18lbs 11oz - weight - 25th %
29 1/4in - height - 80th %
18in - head - 60th %

Wade's 3rd Birthday

No longer do I have three boys under three...my big boy turned three on January 30th! We had his party scheduled for the same day, but it had to be pushed back to Sunday due to poor weather conditions. Saturday evening, John and I took Wade to Chick-Fil-A. It was pouring rain, but they have an indoor play area. He loved it! When it was time to go, he wasn't too happy, but we promised we would come back. We then took him to his very first movie, Chipmunks, The Squeakquel. Because my son has super hearing, it was a little loud at first, but once he got use to it, he settled in. John held Wade through most of the movie because he wasn't heavy enough to keep the seat from bouncing back up. I'm sure we'll be at the movies one day in the very near future and I'll think about that and wish that was still the case. He loved the movie! Towards the end, he was dancing around in the aisle.

Like I mentioned before, Wade's party was pushed back to Sunday due to rainy weather. It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day, but boy was it cold! The parents froze, but luckily, the kids barely noticed. Leading up to Wade's bday, I would ask what kind of party he wanted and he consistently said he wanted a tractor party. Mom found this place called Thompson Farm & Nursery and it turned out to be the perfect place. They had tractors, a play area, petting zoo, hayride, blow-up castle and more. I think the kids had a great time and most importantly, Wade loved it! For party favors, the kids got to make their own birdfeeder out of a pinecone, peanut butter and birdseed. We had so many activities crammed into our two hour party time that we ended up opening the gifts at home. It was like Christmas all over again, but this time it was all about Wade. He couldn't have been happier! He did get to open his gift from Mom, Dad, John and me at the party...his John Deere Gator!! He's in love. He rides it everyday after school. I hope it lasts long enough for all the boys to enjoy it. All in all, the party was great! A lot of people turned out despite the cold weather and a good time was had by all. Thank you to everybody for coming and for being a part of our lives. We love you all!

Mom made this for Wade...SO CUTE!!!

Christmas 2009

I think I don't blog as often b/c I always feel like I need to go back and cover what I've missed and the list keeps growing and growing. I'm going to make an effort to be better(again) and see how it goes. Real quick, Christmas was great! Wade loved the racecar track he got from Santa. That's all he would ask for and Santa didn't disappoint. We had to say good bye to Dodgey, Wade's elf. He'll be back soon. I'm thinking Wade will be more into him this year. The twins had a blast watching Wade open his toys and playing with all the paper and bows. We did Christmas with my family Christmas Eve. It was the twins and Blake's first Christmas. Christmas this year will be a madhouse! We spent Christmas morning with John's family. Billy cooked us all breakfast and Sonia and Jon were with us this year. It was a full house which makes family gatherings so much fun! Mr. Danny got a puppy from all of us. It was love at first sight. Later, we headed back to Mom and Dad's for a late lunch. My camera died at Mom and Dad's so I didn't get many pics at their house, but here's what I did get.
